What actually was it? That bound the two souls so tight that nobody could smuggle in between unless they chose their paths apart! What was that bond? How was that feeling to be inevitable when united and yet so vulnerable to each other? How hard was it to pretend to be one, or were they actually one?
Life is full of mysteries and the true story is known, only by the ones living it.
"It was real for me till almost the end. Till the time her truths were unfolded by herself but only out of the demand of the situation and not out of friendship." That is all Tauss wanted to reveal about the one whom she had taken as a friend and even as a younger sister to some extent. The pain could be felt form the words she chose to speak when asked about Copper.
The world admired and adored their bond and some even felt jealous because deep down they knew the bond was built strong even though they had their own differences. It was absolutely impossible to make them speak behind each other's back not because they chose not to but because they chose to keep each other's back.
That is what Copper admitted. And Tauss thought. That the bond was genuine. Until one by one, Tauss came to know about all those lies Copper had told her and all those secrets she had kept from her. On one hand, Copper would keep Tauss' back and on the other, she would hit her hard with her set of words. In turn when Tauss started keeping secrets, or speaking otherwise about their friendship, Copper would take them to heart and mourn.
As the days went by Tauss also started to feel grief and guilt. She then, on one solitary day, decided to think it over. And chose to turn the switch off to her emotions.
Then all of it felt like a dream in the distant past. How people can bond so well when they are two souls in need of the same belongingness and sharing the same feelings. The feeling of being unwanted brought them together. The need to look out for each other's back made them loyal to each other. The need of a companion pulled them though together through the evils and drama. The need to feed on positivity made them be able to survive even if they drank from each other's pensieve. They had a world of their own where nobody managed to suit into even after trying to barge into. But this world was an utopia. And it could not have existed without the imagination of the togetherness. It could not survive the blow of one of the souls drifting apart.
And then it was Copper's turn to decide to turn it off, if only she hadn't already.
