Connections

What I'm talking here is about the relations we make by our own choice after coming to our senses when we grow up. The relations we are born with are our blood relations and I've realized that we lose the worth of these relations because we never have to think or judge about their truthfulness!! But the relations we make are actually the connections we grow with people with whom we don't have blood relations. Such connections can be that of friendship, love, teacher-student, boss-employee or doctor-patient or anything of this sort!! We don't make friends as easily and we don't trust on anyone whom we've just met!! But in our blood relations we never question or parents or aunties or grand-parents about anything they tell us or anything they ask us to do. And still we lose the worth of these relations. When we grow up, we tend to go away from these relations and go closer to the connections that we have made much later on!! And we only understand or realize the worth of the blood relations when we get some set back or blow from the connections we had made and had given more importance than our blood relations.
How strangely our minds and emotions works!! We get hurt more when our friends cancel a plan or when we are turned down by someone we propose. But if our parents cancel any plan we rather feel relieved that we won't have to get bored that evening!! How strange it is that if a friend doesn't ask what we're upset about, we feel so much hurt!! On the contrary, we never expect our parents to realize we're upset, leave apart getting hurt if they don't ask the reason!! And even if they do ask the reason, we just avoid them. Should we call these connections beautiful or not I can't decide because its really wonderful how people get so close to each other in spite of not having any blood relation but on the other hand, in the process of creating these connections and keeping them secured in our hearts, we somehow lose the essence of the old relations.
Its astonishing, how life always keeps us entertained by the roller coaster ride and how we thrive to balance life, never realizing that the imbalance is the real meaning of life!!
