Materialization Personified

        This age of materialization has landed everyone in wanting to buy more and more luxurious gadgets and other material stuffs. But still nobody has given up the traditional way of staying happy i.e. making new friends and hanging out with old ones.
        Our older generations say that the young ones are losing the importance of relationships and the importance of people in this race of acquiring the latest gadget or gizmo. In our older generations' opinion, we give more worth to the gadgets we have than the relations we have with us, we are more inclined towards our work than our family. Well, may be they are right in a way, but we know something that they don't!! For instance, why do we use smartphones?? Only to stay in touch with our friends and FB mates for more time, because through our smartphones we can stay online throughout the day, no matter wherever we are, whatever we are doing!! :P
When we want a car, its because we want to go out with our friends and have immense fun. And also drive our parents to wherever they want.
When we work till late, its because we want to get over with our work as soon as possible so that we get more free time to spend with the people we are close to.
When we look for better paying jobs, no matter how much stress we have to endure and work like dogs in the private companies, all that we have in our minds is that if we earn more we can spend more, we can fulfill the dreams we've been weaving for so long. And these expenses don't just include our personal expenses but also the gifts we want to buy for the people close to us, the surprises we want to arrange on their birthdays, the expenses to make their dream come true.. all of this just to see a big, wide, ear to ear smile and tears of joy in the eyes of the ones we love and the ones for whom we can go to any extremes and we don't mind working like dogs.
If we want a flat, its because we want to have a blast while partying and our parents won't be disturbed by the loud howls or the ear-drum bursting muzic. And they won't also come to know about how much we are getting drunk. ;P
        Its basically the relations and the ones we love who make us reach them with a surprise through the materialization. Our emotions and thinking has adapted to the changes taking place. Its the same as using fly-overs and metros to reach to some place early than taking the straight and simple road which would take a little more time.
       So, at the end of the day, we are also emotional fools like our older generations and we do have the worth of relationships in our lives as much as they have. Just the difference is that we think a little hatke, going out of the tracks!!  No matter how much we are in love with a new gadget or a new trend, we give it up when it gets old. But no matter how old our parents and friends get, do we ever give them up??
